Unley Concert Band and Maestros With a Mission are once again proud to present a beginner’s conducting workshop. Under the tutelage of two, expert clinicians – each with over 30 years’ experience – up to 12 participants will have the opportunity to experience conducting South Australia’s premier A Grade Concert Band.
Targeted for learners with Minimal conducting experience, the two-day workshop aims to provide transferable skills that can be applied to the musical direction of school and community bands, as well as an array of other ensembles.
The weekend conducting intensive will begin with preliminary training made available online one week prior, and will culminate with a concert on the Sunday afternoon, where participants may be granted the opportunity to lead the band in front of a live audience. It’s an experience not to be missed!
